Healthy Hunger Notice from our Parent Volunteers

The December to March Healthy Hunger dates are set!  You can now order your child(ren)’s “fun lunch” for the following dates (order deadlines in brackets):

Coco Brooks 

Tuesday, December 10 (Order before midnight December 5)

Wednesday, December 11 (Order before midnight December 6)

Jelly Modern Donuts

Tuesday December 17 (midnight December 12)

Thursday December 19 (midnight December 14)

*Please Note

  • Be careful to order your “fun lunches” only on the dates that your child(ren) will be at school. 
  • Because the Healthy Hunger system was not set up with our unique school calendar in mind, any registered user will receive reminder emails about deadlines for placing all orders coming to our school, including dates when your child(ren) is not at school. You need to disregard any reminders that don’t apply to you. For example, if your child comes to school on Monday/Tuesday and you place an order for a Tuesday lunch, you will still receive an email from Healthy Hunger reminding you that you have not placed an order for the Wednesday/Thursday fun lunch. You need to disregard that reminder as your child will not be at school to receive a lunch order on Wednesday/Thursday. 
  • School volunteers who are organizing and distributing fun lunches cannot be held responsible for any ordering errors made. Efforts can be made to contact you about the error and preserve your food in the fridge, but refunds and order changes cannot be made the week of the fun lunch. 

A big thank you to Parent Volunteer Laurinda for getting the Healthy Hunger initiative going at our school and for all the time you’ve taken over the last year to coordinate these fun lunches!  Another big thank you to Parent Volunteer Christa for taking on this role going forward!  We appreciate all of the time and dedication of our volunteers!

Our Purdy’s Chocolates Fundraiser has raised over $700.00. Purdy’s gives 25% of each order back to the school. This has been a great way to raise money for the school and help families avoid the malls for their Purdy’s chocolates!  

Purdy’s Chocolate Fundraiser – You are welcome to participate in the CBE home Education Purdy’s Chocolate Fundraiser.  Please email Christa Patzer, parent volunteer, with your questions.  "If you haven't purchased your Purdy's chocolate for our CBE Home Education fundraiser yet don't sweat, the deadline to order is December 1. Go to fundraising.purdys.com and use the customer # 77336 to join our campaign.

Monday Tuesday families can collect their orders on Dec. 17 between 9-10 am or 2:15-3:15 pm

Wednesday Thursday families can collect their orders on Dec. 19 between 9-10am or 2:15-3:15 pm in the Family Flex Room." 

Upcoming!  Please Save Your Bottles/Cans and Refundables over the Winter Break!  We will be doing a bottle drive on December 6/7 and 8/9.  You can bring your refundables to the front doors (preference would be January 7 or 9).

Workshop! Wednesday, November 27 from 10-11:30 a.m. : How To Write a Homeschool Progress Report

Join Lyndsay and Carley, Homeschool Facilitators and Homeschool Parents, to learn how to best report on your child’s learning. Your Homeschool Progress Reports will be due to your Homeschool Facilitator on January 30, so come and get some help early and feel confident in your reporting.
