School Location Change for the Home Education Program
On February 11, 2025, the Board of Trustees approved the relocation of CBE Home Education from Windsor Park School to Bel-Aire School. Read full notice.
Renewals for Current Families: Please note current families must also register each year. We do not have an automatic roll-over of registration.
How to Register
- Please complete the Renewal CBE Home Education Package
- Email completed forms to Admin Assistant, Cheryl Burgess at clburgess@cbe.ab.ca
- You will receive an email confirming receipt of your documents within 1 week of submission.

- Become informed about CBE Home Education by viewing our our website and the Alberta Education's Home Education website.
- Attend an Information and Learning Plan Session (see session information below)
- Complete the New To CBE Home Education Package
- Email completed PDF and your Formal Learning Plan to Cheryl Burgess at clburgess@cbe.ab.ca.
- You will require a birth certificate or passport and proof of address.

Home Learning Plan Template Home Learning Plan Template - We begin processing packages for NEW Families on March 15th. New Families will receive an email either confirming your acceptance or declining your application 14 days after complete packages are submitted (After March 15th).
Space is limited for Shared Responsibility and Families may be put on a wait-list.

- Complete the Transfer Within CBE to Home Education Package
- Email the completed PDF and your Formal Learning Plan to Cheryl Burgess at clburgess@cbe.ab.ca
- A birth certificate or passport and proof of address are required.

Registration for Non-Canadian Students
Welcome to Our Diverse and Inclusive Academic Community!
We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to non-Canadian students who are eager to embark on an enriching educational journey with us. Our schools are welcoming, caring, respectful and safe environments where students will learn, make new friends, and discover their talents and interests. Students who are not Canadian citizens must register through CBE Welcome Centre, even if they have attended school elsewhere in Canada.

At the CBE, when you are transitioning from elementary to middle school, or from middle school to high school, you will be automatically registered at your designated school according to your home address. To find out what your designated school is, use our Find a School tool. If you are interested in attending a school other than your designated school, visit CBE'sTransfers page for transfer information. Please note that some schools are quite full and not able to accept all transfer requests.
