All CBE families are invited to the CBE Round Dance celebrating Indigenous students graduating from grade 9. Round Dance Poster 2024-2025 April 10 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Badminton TEAM Grade 6-9
Badminton Team Tryout Update
This week I had a meeting for all students to sign up for Badminton Team Tryouts.
- Please note that this is our only team with a tryout and almost half of the students will not be invited to play at the tournament as we have a 22-player max.
- I will make the first-round cuts after next week’s tryouts and the final team will be made the following week. Unfortunately, absences may affect players’ results due to the compressed time to make the team.
- The Tournament Date is May 15. If athletes are not available on that day, please do not try out for the team as it will take a spot of a player who can compete.
- Players in higher grades will have priority on the team.
- All players must hand in their Annual Authorization to Tryout form before tryouts. (See attached)
- Our team is more complicated as teammates for doubles must be on the same day. I will have personal conversations with players who are cut to explain the reasons why and what they can work on for next year.
Tryout Schedule for April 7 to 17 (Team practices will be different)
Monday: 12:15 to 12:45
Tuesday: 3:30 to 4:45
Wednesday: 3:30 to 4:45
Thursday: 12:15 to 12:45

Track and Field Team - Message from Ms. Cammy
We are quickly approaching track and field season and need your help! This year, students in grade 6-9 will be competing on May. 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in a Calgary Junior High Track Meet. There are running, jumping, throwing and relay events. If you are interested and would like to help coach this year, we need coaches for: hurdles, relays, sprints, long jump, shot put, discus, and mid-distance running. Practices will run from May 12-29 and can be held before or after school or at lunch (whatever works for you). For more information, please email Cammy Krochak at CMKROCHAK@cbe.ab.ca

Unfortunately, as the number of responses was quite low and to protect the anonymity of those who responded, we will not be posting survey results on our website. However, all responses have been reviewed and will be considered in decision making. Thanks for your input!

Gently pulling up some of our Windsor Park School roots and Planting new seeds at Bel Aire School: Dear Families, we are looking to for a small committed team of parents to help us close up our time at Windsor Park School and transition over to Bel Aire School in a thoughtful and meaningful way. Jenny, one of our parents, is excited to connect with other parents to make this happen.
