Healthy Hunger Fun Lunches!  A note from our Volunteers...

What is Healthy Hunger:  HEALTHY HUNGER LINK

Healthy Hunger in Canada is an online lunch ordering platform used by schools to help parents order hot lunches for their children. It partners with local restaurants and food providers to deliver meals directly to schools on designated "special lunch" or "fun lunch" days.

The purpose of "Healthy Hunger" is designed to: Provide convenience for parents; offer kids a variety of meal options; Support school fundraising initiatives.

The September to October Healthy Hunger dates are set!  You can now order your child(ren)’s “fun lunch” for the following dates (order deadlines in brackets):

  • Opa
Tuesday, September 23 (Order before midnight September 18)
Wednesday, September 24 (Order before midnight September19 )
  • Subway
Tuesday October 7 (midnight October 2)
Thursday October 9  (midnight October 3)
  • Cocobrooks
    Tuesday October 21  (midnight October 16 )
Thursday October 23  (midnight October 17)

*Please Note

  • Be careful to order your “fun lunches” only on the dates that your child(ren) will be at school.
  • Because the Healthy Hunger system was not set up with our unique school calendar in mind, any registered user will receive reminder emails about deadlines for placing all orders coming to our school, including dates when your child(ren) is not at school. You need to disregard any reminders that don’t apply to you. For example, if your child comes to school on Monday/Tuesday and you place an order for a Tuesday lunch, you will still receive an email from Healthy Hunger reminding you that you have not placed an order for the Wednesday/Thursday fun lunch. You need to disregard that reminder as your child will not be at school to receive a lunch order on Wednesday/Thursday.
  • School volunteers who are organizing and distributing fun lunches cannot be held responsible for any ordering errors made. Efforts can be made to contact you about the error and preserve your food in the fridge, but refunds and order changes cannot be made the week of the fun lunch.

Thank you Families and wishing you all Happy Autumn Days Ahead!
