Coming Up in October for Homeschoolers:
1. CBE Labour Action Updates
Schools have been directed that communication regarding the Labour Negotiations with Alberta Education will come from one source. If you do have questions, please see your emails from The Calgary Board of Education that will be ongoing and check the Main CBE Website for updates - CBE Labour Action
Please note that starting Monday, October 6, classes will not be in session at Bel-Aire School and in-school activities like picture days, and offsite activities will be rescheduled.
2. Homeschoolers Terry Fox Run
If you are interested in joining a parent-led (Non-CBE) Terry Fox Run with other homeschool families on Friday, October 17, please send an email to Laura Jesperson at homeschoolterryfox@gmail.com. Details about time and location and fundraising will be emailed to families who express interest.
3. Jacket Racket
There will be a jacket drive for families in need, so if you have a jacket that you'd like to donate, more information will be coming. November 25 is the pick-up date.
4. INSPIRED Conference for Homeschoolers - Non-CBE Event for homeschoolers!
Get ready for the Inspired Calgary Homeschool Conference — a gathering designed especially for homeschool families, with keynote speakers who truly “get” your journey and with practical information sure to inspire you.
You’ll also connect with like-minded parents and build a network of support that can carry you through the highs and the hard days.
