Guest Speaker Tyler Nagel will present a workshop entitled, "Learning to Identify Misinformation and Developing a Healthy News Diet." Tyler Nagel, a SAIT journalism instructor, PhD candidate (and a homeschooler for seven years), will define terms like misinformation and disinformation. The presentation will provide tools to identify and understand the elements of professional journalism. It will conclude by providing practical tips for helping your children develop balanced “news diets,” ensuring they are considering all perspectives on issues in the news. Everyone welcome!
